Steve Stücky speaks at Ancient Dragon Zen Gate

He will give two Dharma talks:

  • The Spirit of Generosity
    Sunday morning, September 12
  • Nirvana/Samsara, What's the Difference?
    Monday evening, September 13

Myōgen Steve Stücky is co-abbot of San Francisco Zen Center. He began Zen training in 1971 and received Dharma transmission from Abbot Sojun Mel Weitsman in 1993 in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. He is also the founder of Dharma Eye Zen Sangha in Marin County and is currently on the faculty of the Shogaku Zen Institute's "SPOT" training program. Steve is a past president of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association. He has completed a doctoral program in pastoral counseling, and has completed level two training in Internal Family Systems Therapy. For many years he was a landscape designer/contractor well known for his Zen gardens with rocks and waterfalls. He and spouse Lane Olson have three adult children and two grand-daughters.

Sunday, September 12: talk at 10:15 am, meditation at 9:20 am
Monday, September 13: talk at 7:45 pm, meditation at 7:10 pm
