David Chadwick: Zen Failure and disciple of Suzuki Roshi

He will give two Dharma talks:

  • Suzuki Roshi and his Teachings
    Sunday morning, September 25
  • Zen, Life, and Everything Else
    Monday evening, September 26

(David Chadwick's Crooked Cucumber, biography of Shunryu Suzuki) David Chadwick was priest ordained by Suzuki Roshi, founder of San Francisco Zen Center, and wrote Suzuki Roshi's biography, Crooked Cucumber. David is also author of the hilarious Thank You and OK: A Zen Failure in Japan, perhaps the best book ever written about Japan for Americans. David is also a fine songwriter and musician, a great storyteller, and very knowledgeable about American Zen and many other things.

Sunday, September 25: talk at 10:15 am, meditation at 9:20 am
Monday, September 26: talk at 7:45 pm, meditation at 7:10 pm
