Michael Hogue will discuss the emerging field of Religion and Environment studies at our next Peace and Environment Forum at Ancient Dragon Zen Gate on Thursday, June 23, from 7:15 to 8:45 pm. He will present current scholarly and political expressions in the field, and offer constructive principles for the development of socially engaged religious environmentalism.
Michael Hogue is Associate Professor at the Meadville Lombard Theological School in Hyde Park, with a Ph.D. from University of Chicago in Theological Ethics. His teaching and writing explores theology as it intersects with religious and environmental ethics, and the sciences and cultural studies. He is the author of two books, The Tangled Bank: Toward an Ecotheological Ethics of Responsible Participation, and The Promise of Religious Naturalism.
