Organizations
Care for Real is an organization in Edgewater which provides food, clothing, and counseling services. They’re doing a virtual food drive right now that can be a big help to people in need.
This organization is providing seniors with hand sanitizer, health supplements, toiletries, and food. They’re also providing an opportunity to call seniors who might be in need.
RefugeeOne assists refugees resettling to this country who have often fled situations of violence, persecution, and war. These resettlement efforts include everything from furnishing apartments to providing workforce training. This is a time of great vulnerability for refugees.
Local food pantry that provides food, mental health and social services. They’re providing food delivery for elderly and disabled folks at the moment.
The Friendship Center, located in Lincoln Square at 2711 W Lawrence Avenue, serves residents of Albany Park, Lincoln Square, North Park, Ravenswood, and West Ridge. They provide a food pantry, hot meals, and meal delivery to homebound seniors and others. They also have a pet food pantry.
