Meditation instruction, Zazen, and Chinese New Year celebration led by Eishin Nancy Easton

Today our morning program will include a Children’s event and our special Chinese New Year ceremony led by Eishin Nancy Easton. This will include a Children’s event. During zazen there will be children’s activities available in the kitchen, then children will join in walking meditation and the celebration of Chinese New Year in the zendo, this year for the Year of the Rat. Afterwards we will have informal discussion and treats in the zendo. Everyone welcome.
All who wish to participate in our programs are asked to attend meditation instruction 8:45 am Sunday, arrive ten minutes before to prepare. (If Sunday mornings are impossible for you, contact email@example.com to arrange another time.)
Zazen meditation starts 9:30 am, arrive at least five minutes before, followed by walking meditation
8:30 am: Doors open
8:45 am: Meditation Instruction *
9:30 am: Zen Meditation (zazen)
10:05 am: Walking Meditation (kinhin)
10:15 am: Chinese New Year celebration
* Please note that there will be no meditation instruction, temple cleaning or tea on Sundays when we have special meditation retreats. The 9:30 am Zen meditation and 10:15 am Dharma talk are always open to the public even when there is a special meditation event. Consult the calendar for details.
